Volunteer opportunity – Vascular surgery

A 2020 assessment of vascular surgery services in Gaza completed by MAP found systematic gaps in services, including huge shortages in medical supplies and gaps in human resources. These challenges primarily stem from Israel’s 16-year illegal closure and blockade, restricting movement, including healthcare workers’ access to training or professional development opportunities outside of Gaza. In response, MAP launched a new project aiming to support vascular surgery care in Gaza and bridge these gaps through training, the provision of medical supplies and equipment, infrastructure support, and support for the development of systems of care and appropriate referral pathways.
