In the Wake of War: Gaza One Year On
February
This film is based on interviews and filming we did in December in Gaza, in the run up to the anniversary of Operation Cast Lead. In the Wake of War is testimony-based, telling but some of the stories of survival, tragedy, and ongoing hardship in Gaza - with no effective action to end the blockade, no reconstruction, no accountability.
Gaza Health Fact Sheet
January
The Gaza Strip has been the setting of a protracted political and socio-economic crisis. Recent events have resulted in a severe deterioration of the already precarious living conditions of the people in Gaza and have further eroded a weakened health system. The closure of Gaza since mid-2007 and the last Israeli military strike between 27 December and 18 January have led to on-going deterioration in the social, economic and environmental determinants of health.
Gaza residents denied eye treatment
February
Aid agencies have cautioned that Israel's blockade of Gaza is putting the health of many Palestinians at risk. Last week, Israeli authorities prevented 19 patients from crossing over to the West Bank for cornea implants that could save their sight. Ayman Mohyeldin reports from Gaza on the detrimental effects of a blockade with no end in sight.
Palestinian Doctors Visit UK Hospitals
February
MAP and IMET 2000 have launched a joint programme to raise standards of care for burns patients across the occupied Palestinian territory. We will update existing burns units, build new facilities, bring in much needed equipment and train a generation of doctors and nurses. As our first step, in January, MAP and IMET 2000 organised a visit of nine surgeons, doctors and nurses from the occupied Palestinian territory to observe UK burns services.

For us to provide vital humanitarian aid, we are reliant on your fundraising efforts. It doesn't need to be a huge event; if lots of people raise a small amount, it soon adds up and allows MAP to continue providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.
